Clark Foam’s patented .dfx imaging is portable imaging technology allows for on-site rapid imaging of tools and components.

In a simple three-step process, our Portable Imaging Technology will create and catalog as many as three files a minute, creating a completed spec of tools or components, this is achieved by converting jpeg images into .dfx files.

Imaging of tools and components can be captured with a smartphone or digital camera. Jpeg file from camera phone or digital camera are then converted into a completed spec .dfx file.

Eliminating the common process of either shipping tools out or tracing and cutting by hand. Once tools or components are cataloged, the portable imaging technology allows for the customer to select which tools or components will be kitted together. After the layout is complete and approved, that file is used to create a custom foam tool or component tray.
